“We were ready for a large number of guests for the tournament, frankly speaking, we did not expect such a stir. A few days before the tournament, a full sold out was announced at the Multi Rest House hotel. Almost two dozen tournaments, dozens of new participants learned for the first time what real live offline poker is, a charge of new impressions, positive emotions and a lot of pleasant acquaintances. We were glad to provide a venue for the tournament, the organization was at the highest level and we are pleased to have such professional cooperation,” commented Dmitry Vereshchak, Shangri La Casino Poker Manager.
In total, 16 different tournaments were played for every taste from one-day tournaments to High Rollers and Super High Rollers, affordable buy-ins from $110 to $980 for each.
Igor Chashchin became the RPT Main Event champion (+ $33,300), and Garik Tamasyan won the X-Event tournament cup (+ $17,100).
The organizers of the RPT prepared an unusual surprise for the final game: a medium-sized python "settled" at the poker table in the company of a tarantula spider. Some players ran away from their places.
In fact, a round-the-clock cash game, bright and colorful lineups from all over the world, large-scale events and an extensive entertainment program - this is how the Russian Poker Tour went in Armenia. In short, it was an ocean of great poker game and another ocean of great emotions at the Shangri La casino in the Tsaghkadzor resort town.
